Case has introduced its all-new H Series dozers, designed to be more powerful, more reliable and more productive.

“We went straight to the people who know our products best — our customers — when designing the new H series machines,” said Rusty Schaefer, Case marketing manager. “Together with their help, we created one of the most productive and efficient families of dozers on the market today.”

Five new machines make up the H series line — the 550H, 650H, 750H, 850H and 11 50H — which range from (50 to 89 kilowatts (67 to 119 hp).

The PowerTurn Advantage

Equipped with a powerful Case engine, each of the H series dozers features a redesigned transmission, built with components that withstand wear and tear for maximum uptime. The Case PowerTurn feature, delivering enhanced power to both tracks when turning, is standard on all H series models to help operators keep the blade full throughout a turn without spinning the tracks.

“Case dozers provide 100 percent power to either track at all times, nearly double what goes to either track with hydrostatic drive machines,” Schaefer said. “Whether you’re pushing a heavy load uphill, leveling material or doing fine grading, the Case H series machines have the power and the maneuverability to get the job done. With their redesigned transmissions and exclusive PowerTurn feature, even the toughest applications are no match for the H series.”

In addition, a range-control button allows the operator to shift smoothly through four speeds to match speed and power to load conditions. Fast and powerful hydraulics deliver quick blade response for optimum performance on the job site.

Tough Tracks for Greater Productivity

Like their predecessors, the H series dozers feature three track choices: long track (LT), featuring a narrow width for added maneuverability and easy transport; wide track (WT) to accommodate a wider blade for finish grading; and low ground pressure (LGP) for applications where flotation is important.

“As with any dozer, the undercarriage is the most vital part of the overall machine,” Schaefer said. “The Case H series are built with heavy-duty pins, bushings, links and rollers for long-term track life and long-term performance from the machine overall.”

All H series dozers can also be equipped with Case Lubricated Track (CLT) or Case Extended Life Tracks (CELT) for working in abrasive conditions. The CELT option differs from conventional track in that a hardened bushing, free to rotate, is placed over the regular bushing, reducing excessive wear and tear and ultimately extending the life of the track.

Rubber tracks are available for the 550H for operation on surfaces such as asphalt or concrete, making them ideal for residential and road and bridge construction.

Design Enhancements

The new H series dozers feature a more streamlined design which provides a clear view of the blade and work area for increased operator visibility. Other new operator compartment features include a high-backed seat for additional back and neck support and an optional ROPS heater for comfort in cold-weather conditions.

The fingertip hand controls provide easy, precision control, and a narrow instrument panel allows the operator to easily monitor major machine systems without losing site of the job at hand.

Blade Attachments

Three sizes of blades are available for the H series — wide, intermediate and narrow — to best suit the specific needs of each particular job. The H series blades range in capacity 1.15 to 2.98 cubic meters (1.5 to 3.9 cu. yds.) and are designed with a flush-mounted cutting edge and an adjustable blade pitch for maximum productivity in a variety of applications.

Enhanced Serviceability and Support

Key service points are now easily accessible via a flip-up panel, helping maximize uptime. Like all Case equipment, the H series dozers are backed by total product support, including rental, service, parts and standard and flexible warranties. Creative financing and leasing plans are also available from Case Credit.
