Just six years after moving into a larger facility on the west side of Atlanta, Central Atlanta Tractor Sales Inc. has now opened their second branch in Gainesville, Ga. The main objective in adding a new facility is to accommodate the needs of the company's north Georgia customer base. The new branch occupies approximately 15,000 sq. ft. on a 3-acre parcel of land and is conveniently located just off I-985 on the Athens Hwy. corridor in Gainesville.
"There's a ton of development here in the northeast Georgia market and our customers were looking at quite a commute time to and from our main office. This branch makes it much more convenient for them," said Josh Wolf, branch manager.
The property purchased had previously been a truck dealership and had an existing wash bay with an oil/water separator that was ideal for the purchase. A 2-tier parts warehouse system was constructed and the existing 10 service bays are now served by a 10-ton overhead crane. The facility was essentially gutted and reconfigured for the equipment business.
"This facility: size wise and geographically, was the perfect building and provides a tremendous opportunity for growth. Getting the word out has been exciting," said Wolf.
SANY, Bell Trucks, Magnum Attachments, Allied and other new products are available at Central Atlanta Tractor in Gainesville. As with the main office, rental-new-used equipment, parts, service, field service are all available at this location.
"We hired five new staffers and brought two from our other location," Wolf said. "New technicians have hit the ground running and the service trucks from this location have really taken off in this area and will probably expand rather quickly."
"This new facility expands our footprint across northeast Georgia and allows us to reach markets that were under served from our Atlanta branch," said Chuck Spooner, president of Central Atlanta Tractor. "This growth has been planned for a while and we are excited to finally see it become a reality."
