Construction Equipment Guide

Cleveland Brothers has announced the construction of a new full-service facility located in Brownstown, PA.

To better support the needs of its Lancaster County customers, Cleveland Brothers has broken ground on the main 40,000-sq.-ft. facility located on 10 acres just off Route 222 at 4326 Oregon Pike. Adjacent to the main building will be a second, 6,000-sq.-ft. machine wash building. Earthmoving began June 1.

Cleveland Brothers has maintained a parts location in Lancaster County for 19 years and is now ready to add rentals, sales, and truck service all in one convenient location. The new location will take the place of the current 1,500-sq.-ft. parts building, which is located approximately 1.5 mi. South on Route 272, Oregon Pike.

For contractors, Cleveland Brothers Lancaster branch will have six machine repair bays to service customer machines as well as the rental fleet located on the premises. The machine repair bays will utilize 6,000 sq. ft. of the main building. Supplementing the repair facilities will be a 6,000-sq.-ft. wash building with two steam cleaning bays and one mud washing bay.

The rental store will offer Caterpillar machines accompanied by a variety of new Cleveland Brothers equipment such as Sullair air compressors, Wacker compaction equipment, GME trench shields, JLG personnel lifts and Godwin pumps. Similar to the current rental stores in Harrisburg, White Deer and Pittston, PA, Lancaster will support any size job from minor to major.

Truck owners will have a modern service facility at their disposal. Cleveland Brothers Lancaster branch will have an eight-bay full-service repair area for Cat on-highway truck engines.

In addition to the service bays of the main building, Cleveland Brothers also will expand on-site parts availability with a 10,000-sq.-ft. warehouse full stocked with all the essential components a contractor and truck operator needs to keep their machines running. With 98 percent off-shelf availability within 24 hours, Cleveland Brothers can keep trucks on the road, and machines in the dirt.

Cleveland Brothers Executive Vice President Tom Kirchhoff said, “Caterpillar has expanded its product line, particularly in skid steer loaders and other construction products such as backhoe loaders and excavators.

Additionally, Cleveland Brothers also has added a number of new products to the overall product line from Sullair, Wacker, GME, JLG and Godwin. With the expansion of these products and services, we felt we needed a larger presence in Lancaster County.

“Year in and year out, Lancaster County is one of the most active counties in our Caterpillar territory. This facility allows us to better meet the needs of our Lancaster County customers in both the earthmoving and truck engine business.”

Construction is scheduled to be finished by the end of the year assuming all approvals are done in a timely manner. Cleveland Brothers will be welcoming customers through the doors of the new branch in early 2006.
