Co-Founder, CEO of AME Ronnie Campbell Dies at 67

Ronnie Preston Campbell, 67, died Oct. 27, 2008.

Funeral services were held Oct. 30, 2008, at the First Baptist Church of Fort Mill, S.C. Burial was at Grandview Memorial Park.

Campbell was a son of the late Preston Melvin and Ruby Evatt Campbell. He was the co-founder and CEO of AME Inc. of Fort Mill. He was a past deacon and an active member of the First Baptist Church of Fort Mill. He also served as a past president of the Fort Mill Lions Club and a past board member of the SCB&T of the Piedmont.

Surviving are his wife, Linda Adams Campbell; two sons, Gregg Campbell and wife, Connie and their children, Emily and Garrett, and Jeff Campbell and wife Lisa and their children Amelia, Ann Preston and Peyton; two brothers, Frankie Campbell and wife Skipper and Robert Campbell of Greenville, S.C.

Memorials may be made to the Fort Mill/Tega Cay Adult Day Care, 105 Lestina Court, Fort Mill, S.C. 29715 or MUSC/Storm Eye Institute, 167 Ashley Ave., Charleston, S.C. 29403.
