Construction Equipment Guide

Colwell Equipment Company Inc., established in 1969, recently added the Kawasaki line of articulated wheel loaders to the list of manufacturing lines the company represents in Michigan’s lower peninsula.

The company has three locations to serve customers with its main office in Canton, MI, and two branches in Saginaw and Grand Rapids.

Kawasaki Construction Machinery Corp. of America is one of the oldest on-going manufacturers of articulated, rubber-tired wheel loaders in the world. The company has been evolving since 1962 to improve the quality of equipment and support services. Supported by a selective dealer network, Kawasaki continues to supply wheel loaders throughout the United States.

Kawasaki incorporates original design features along with data gained from hands-on experience to produce its articulated wheel loaders, which have a Z-link design to provide increased utility and efficiency and high breakout force.

Each Kawasaki wheel loader is designed with Cummins and Isuzu diesel engines for durability and serviceability.

The machines are assembled in the company’s modern facilities in Newnan, GA, with service and support operators headquartered in Kennesaw, GA.

According to Bill Blair, Colwell Equipment Company’s sales manager, the addition of the Kawasaki wheel loaders increases the company’s product line offering to traditional customer categories, such as asphalt plants, and attracts additional opportunities as well.
