Terex will showcase a comprehensive range of products and services at ConExpo 2014 in a spacious outdoor exhibit located in the outdoor Gold Lot, booth number 1047. The Terex exhibit is designed to introduce the company’s latest products and reinforce its commitment to delivering customer-driven equipment and service solutions for the construction, infrastructure, quarrying, mining, shipping, transportation, refining, energy, utility and manufacturing industries.

The Terex aerial work platforms, construction, cranes, and materials processing business segments will showcase new equipment, innovative safety features and unique service solutions. All of these offerings are designed to keep our customers’ equipment up and running efficiently while lowering the cost of ownership to enhance their bottom line.

In addition to new equipment and customer support hubs, Terex has included a dedicated press center at its booth with meeting rooms where visitors will be able to schedule meetings with Terex team members, conduct interviews, or just take a break and access the microsite and press materials via wi-fi while enjoying a beverage and snack.

Terex Aerial Work Platforms (AWP)

Genie branded products, manufactured by Terex AWP, will be "taking you higher" at ConExpo 2014 by enabling customers to reach new heights. The equipment displays will include innovative products such as the Genie SX-180 telescopic boom, the Genie GS-4069 bi-energy hybrid scissor lift, the Genie GTH-1544 telehandler and more.

Now in production, the Genie SX-180 boom has a platform height of 180 ft. (55 m) and can be driven at full height. The stowed length shrinks it down to a mere 47 ft. (14 m) and the retracted width to 98 in. (249 cm) making it transportable without special over-width permits. The lift capacity is 750 lbs. (340 kg). The boom is suited for applications in the oil and gas industries, commercial construction, industrial construction and maintenance, wind farm applications, power stations and utilities and large metropolitan cities that require work at height.

The new Genie GS-4069 bi-energy hybrid scissor lift also will be on display. As part of the new Genie BE69 hybrid scissor lift series, it features two selectable operating modes to meet the needs of both outdoor job sites with no onsite power, and indoor job sites with noise and emission sensitive environments. Also on display will be three rough terrain Genie telehandlers, among other products.

Terex Construction

The Terex stand will showcase machines from across the construction range including the Tier IVi/Stage IIIB TSR60 skid steer featuring a rated operating capacity of 1,500 lbs. (680 kgs) to the largest machine in the compact wheel loader range, the TL120. Visitors to the stand will learn how the TL120 loader, with its latest Tier IVi/Stage IIIB compliant engine, offers more power and torque at the operator’s fingertips with the new Terex smart control system for precise, comfortable and productive work.

Each machine has been designed and developed based on detailed customer input and visitors will experience this first hand and meet the faces behind the products.

Terex Cranes

The Terex Superlift 3800 crawler crane has been designed to redefine performance in the 650 ton (590 t) capacity class and is a more than worthy successor to the highly regarded CC 2800-1, according to Terex.

Requiring up to 30 percent less counterweight for long boom erection and complete with new-style cabin and Terex fall protection system, the Superlift has a maximum lift capacity of 650 ton at 39 ft. (12 m) and a maximum hook height of 623 ft. (190 m). Maximum load moment is 9,288 ton (8,426 t). All the crane’s components weigh less than 40 ton (36 t) and are below 9.8 ft. (3 m) in width and height to facilitate ease of transportation.

“With its focus on innovation, capacity and productivity — and especially in the configuration we have planned — the Superlift 3800 promises to be one of the highlights of ConExpo 2014. It continues the well established Terex tradition of helping customers to deliver the results that matter — jobs that are on time, on budget and to specification,” said Rüdiger Zollondz, director Product Marketing, Terex Cranes.

Two Terex cranes will be making their debut — a new, mid-size all terrain crane, which specifically addresses the needs of the North American market and a new truck mounted crane.
