Internationally known futurist Derek Woodgate explores ‘The Road Beyond’ for construction.
Internationally known futurist Derek Woodgate will preview his thought-provoking vision for the construction industry, with an exclusive focus on the Latin America region, at the 2016 CONEXPO Latin America Seminars Program.
Woodgate will be joined at the seminar by a mix of international and regional experts focused on the latest trends in infrastructure, efficient fleet management, workforce development and other key areas that directly influence the continued vitality of the Latin American construction industry.
Woodgate's presentation is based on a comprehensive research project he conducted over the past year for the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM), owner and producer of CONEXPO Latin America and the internationally-known CONEXPO-CON/AGG held in Las Vegas, USA.
Woodgate will provide a preview of future scenarios and development platforms for the construction industry, focused on the Latin America region, and demonstrate how his vision could create a significant paradigm shift in how we conceptualize roads and buildings.
Woodgate is scheduled to share the complete global results of this exclusive project at CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2017 in March.
The CONEXPO Latin America 2016 seminars program will be held October 10-11 in Lima, Peru (Swissotel). Registration opens June 1. Visit www.conexpolatinamerica.com for details.
Real-World Strategies for Success
“I am so excited that we are able to connect Derek Woodgate with industry professionals in the region to share knowledge and insights; he is such a dynamic and influential leader who will really engage and energize our attendees,” said Andrija Korolija of Graña y Montero and seminar planning committee chair.
Woodgate is Chief Futurist of the Futures Lab Inc., which he founded in 1996. He is also an educator and author with more than 20 years of senior-level management and operational experience. He has worked on foresight projects in all major industries and for dozens of world-renowned clients. He has also served on the boards of major international corporations and lived and worked in 11 countries.
“Industry leaders throughout the region have told us they want more actionable and real-world information to help their businesses grow; companies that understand and value the importance of focused executive education are the ones that will stay competitive and succeed,” Korolija said. “The insights gained from this seminar will help industry executives position their businesses to take advantage of new opportunities.”
AEM is working with CAPECO, the Peruvian Chamber of Construction, to bring the two-day CONEXPO Latin America seminars program to the region. The seminars program is a stand-alone complementary event held right before CAPECO's EXCON 2016 exhibition in Lima, Peru.
“Our focus is to provide CONEXPO-quality information and experts, all in one place, with a 'by the industry and for the industry' cooperative philosophy with the support from well-respected organizations in Latin America and around the world,” Korolija said.
