The Association for Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) are the owners and organizers for ConExpo-Con/Agg 2017, the triennial tradeshow, which is the largest international gathering in the Western Hemisphere for the construction industries. Here are suggestions and tips straight from the horse's mouth, AEM, for making attendance at ConExpo enriching and worthwhile.

Patricia Monroe, public relations manager, with AEM collected much of this information from resources within AEM and also offered two bits of personal advice: “Wear comfortable shoes and keep hydrated.”

Plan Ahead -- Preplanning is key. Use the online show planner and the mobile app. Also, sign up for Show Alerts at the website which will send notices on early-bird specials, hotel deals, emerging equipment and technology for the jobsite of the future, best practices to enhance your safety, productivity and profitability, and construction market information and trends.

Tech Experience will be showcasing the ideas and technologies that are expected to transform construction in the future. Focuses on industry innovations and future growth opportunities in the technology field, including drones, autonomous machines, 3-D imaging, smart apps, gamification, big data and IoT.

3-D Printed Excavator – A must see is the most current prototype of the world's first operational 3D printed excavator. For the past two years a conglomerate of trade associations, industry, government and academia have been collaborating.

Visit – This is the site for obtaining the most current information about the show where every major construction industry is represented among 2,500+ exhibitors over 2,500,000 square feet that cover all sectors including asphalt, aggregates, concrete, earthmoving, lifting, mining, utilities and more. Start at the About the Show section.

¥ Get the eNewsletter – It contains show news, announcements, and helpful tips for attendees at the show. Sign up at the ConExpo-Con/Agg website.

Online Exhibitor Directory – The Directory of Show Exhibitors is set up to be easy to use. Companies can be found through the Exhibitors in Alpha order or through the Product Catagories list. The Directory also has Featured Exhibitors, New 2017 Exhibitors, AEM Members, and IFPE 2017 Exhibitors. There is also additional information such as New Product Demos, New Products & Technologies, and Exhibitor Press Releases.

As the show draws closer, AEM will likely be working on new helpful services and tips right up to the first day. They recognize that their success is dependent on making sure everyone involved in the show is happy. So any questions and/or requests for assistance should be responded to promptly.
