Croner, Gustafson, Wunderlich Climb Ladder at Howell

Howell Tractor, a heavy construction and earthmoving equipment dealer covering central and northern Illinois and northwestern Indiana, has announced the promotions of three employees, which were effective April 1.

Ron Croner has been named General Sales Manager of the company. Formerly, the Branch Manager at Howell Tractor’s Gary, IN, facility, he will now assume responsibility for all new equipment sales and rentals.

Croner has been with the company for three years holding such positions as Branch Sales Manager and company Product Support Manager. He also has more than 10 years of industry experience with such companies as USX Corporation.

Diana Gustafson has been promoted to Sales Administrator. With Howell Tractor for 12 years, serving as the Office Manager of the Gary location, Gustafson will now assist Croner with the day-to-day administrative side of the company’s equipment sales.

Howell Tractor has named Brad Wunderlich Used Equipment Manager. He has been with the company for a number of years serving as Sales Administrator and Branch Sales Manager of the Elk Grove Village, IL, facility. Wunderlich will now be in charge of marketing and selling of all used equipment for the company.

Howell Tractor boasts three full-service locations in Elk Grove and LaSalle/Peru, IL, and Gary, and offers a large inventory of new, rental and used equipment backed by extensive service programs.

The company provides customers with machine rebuilding, on-site disassembly and reassembly of specialized machinery, fleet utilization survey and cost effectiveness analysis, on-site operator maintenance training programs, preventative maintenance programs and more.

Howell Tractor’s parts department utilizes a computerized global parts-finding network, as well as the Electronic Date Interchange and Evaluated Receipt Settlement, enabling customers to order parts without using their telephones.

Howell Tractor’s product lines consist of Hitachi excavators and shovels; Euclid-Hitachi rigid frame trucks; Kawasaki wheel loaders and dozers; Waldon industrial loaders; Rammer hydraulic hammers, shears and crushers; and Talbert trailers and lowboys. It has recently added the Gehl and Protec lines as well.

The company’s major engine lines include Cummins, Hino, Isuzu, Perkins and Deutz. Its major parts accounts include Baldwin Filters, Rockland, Hensley, Woods Equipment/Central Fabricators, Hendrix Manufacturing, JRB, Bucyrus Blades, American Coupler, ESCO, Seats Inc. and Avon Bearings.
