Gov. Jim Gibbons recently appointed Shawn Danoski of Las Vegas to the Commission on Construction Education. Danoski is the CEO of Danoski Clutts Building Group LLC. The governor also reappointed current members Ed Horan, Dale Lowery and Michael Scolari of Reno and Jennifer Lewis of Las Vegas.

The commission distributes grant funds to approved organizations including high schools; community colleges and other organizations to help fund educational programs relating to the construction field. It consists of one member from the Nevada State Contractors Board and six members appointed by the governor. Four members represent the construction industry and the other two have knowledge of construction education programs.

The commission is funded through voluntary contributions and fines levied through the State Contractors Board disciplinary process.

Grant applications are available on the Nevada State Contractors Board Web site at: www.nscb.state.nv.us.

Founded in 2001, Danoski Clutts Building Group (DCBG) is a full service general contracting firm.
