DCA Presents Ronald Smallwood With 2002 Lifetime Achievement Award

Ronald E. Smallwood was the recipient of the Delaware Contractors Association 2002 Lifetime Achievement Award presented at the association’s annual meeting held at the First USA Riverfront Arts Center.

The award is presented annually to an individual who is recognized for commitment and dedication to the association over a prolonged period.

In presenting the award, John J. McMahon Jr., executive vice president of the association, said, “Mr. Smallwood has long been recognized as a leader in the Delaware construction industry. He is a former president of the association and has been a member of the executive committee and the board of directors. Long active in industry circles, Mr. Smallwood has represented himself, his company, and the association extremely well.”

Smallwood retired last year from Hatzel & Buehler Inc., an electrical contracting firm headquartered in Claymont, DE. He had 40 years of service with the company.
