Hess Auctioneers LLC was formed in 2007 by four Lancaster County, Pa., business owners with decades of auction and transportation industry experience. They came together to start a company which brings sellers of quality used equipment together with interested buyers at consignment auctions in Marietta, Pa. The company holds consignment auctions six times per year, with approximately 600 units per sale. Its sales feature tractors, trailers, straight trucks, dump trucks, pickup trucks, construction/material and handling/agriculture equipment. Hess also offers its consignors and bidders: full photo listings on its Web site, national and local print/digital advertising, email marketing, full color brochure mailing, secure storage of equipment, absolute and reserve options, on-site and online bidding, and on-site notary service and fleet liquidation/dispersal services.
