Dig America Gets a Hand From Swaney With PWCE’s Paw

September 1, 2001 - Midwest Edition
Construction Equipment Guide

Tom Wieneke, a foreman for Dig America, felt that “…excavators never have enough reach to them.” The extra reach was needed for a Takeuchi TB175 to build conduit mounds. Dig America went to Swaney Equipment looking for a solution. Swaney Equipment, in turn, asked Takeuchi, and Takeuchi suggested a Paul Weaver Construction Equipment (PWCE) long reach attachment.

PWCE determined that an extendable paw would be the best long reach attachment for Dig America’s excavator. The extendable paw is a cost effective way to add extra reach and digging depth to an excavator. It installs easily and fits several makes and models. The excavator’s productivity increased greatly with the extra reach. According to Wieneke, “They’re nice. The [PWCE] dipper on the TB175 is much better. I like it.”
