Ditch Witch and seven of its Texas dealers joined together to host the Big Texas Roadshow May 11 to June 18. This massive endeavor was to let people in the state observe the cooperation the dealers have together in order to better serve the Texas Ditch Witch customers.
The dealers and show locations involved in the Roadshow included Ditch Witch of East Texas, Tyler; Ditch Witch of Houston; Ditch Witch of Central Texas, Selma; Ditch Witch Sales and Service, El Paso; Ditch Witch Southwest, Odessa; Ditch Witch of West Texas, Amarillo and Witch Equipment, Fort Worth. The combined attendance for all seven events was more than 825.
Each event included product demonstrations and actual customer time operating equipment such as the JT100 directional boring unit, HT300 trencher, JT4020 All Terrain directional boring machine, the all new RT115 Quad and many more. Customers were able to learn more about Ditch Witch product support, finance opportunities and allied products such as Baroid used in conjunction with the Ditch Witch equipment.
Ditch Witch factory representatives and dealer personnel were on hand to demonstrate, educate and instruct customers on all products as well as assist in the hands on demonstrations. One of the most highly attended demonstrations at each event was the PR100 Pipe Bursting System. Ditch Witch personnel showed how the system would cut and split an 8 in. diameter x .25 in. thick steel pipe and splay it apart while it was still underground to allow new pipe to be inserted without removing the original pipe. This machine boasts the obvious benefits of allowing major infrastructure rehabilitation without massive excavation.
Aside from simply being informative, the Big Texas Roadshow provided a great deal of camaraderie, sumptuous lunches of Texas barbeque with all the trimmings, door prizes, “give-aways” and maybe more important, idea exchanges between the factory, dealers and the customers.
Ditch Witch also has established a Texas-only Web site that allows customers to search for answers to any question they might have concerning Ditch Witch in the state. The Web site exemplifies the bond that the Texas dealers maintain in order to offer solutions and answers to questions concerning new and used equipment, product support, rentals and finance on a state-wide basis.
The new site further promotes the Ditch Witch dealers efforts to expose their customers to new products and innovations and to serve the customers in Texas facing Texas-size challenges.
