Dobbs Equipment has been hosting John Deere demonstrations throughout the Southeast at many of its locations on a weekly basis. The "stars of the show" at each demo were the new John Deere P Tier hydraulic excavators — the 210 P, 230 P and 260 P — the new DEX machines introduced at ConExpo in Las Vegas.

These models replace the previous 250-class machines and stand out due to the ground-up redesign. The machines deliver significantly more power, deeper digging capabilities, faster cycle times and a list of advanced, factory-integrated precision technology features. The new generation of DEX machines (Deere excavators), are 100 percent designed, engineered and manufactured by John Deere.

On June 30-July 1, the Dobbs demos came to the company's Albany, Ga., branch. Despite some incredibly hot days, the crowds came out in droves. Lunch, hot off the grille with all the sides, was provided. Demos of the new Deere P Tier excavators, as well as other machines, were available for all guests to take advantage of.

The event was stacked deep with Dobbs Equipment machine specialists and other staffers who were available to provide guests with a hands-on experience of the newest John Deere machines. Static displays of construction and forestry machines and attachments were front-and-center throughout the day at the event.

"The demos have been terrific," said Christopher Bolles, Dobbs Equipment systems technology specialist. "We've had a great turnout at every one of them. The new DEX system provides a bigger operator display screen, built-in sensors, SmartWeigh payload weighing system, EZ Control which simplifies lifting and craning and an abundance of other new technologies."
