Killington Ski Resort, located in Vermont's Green Mountains, is known for having the longest snow skiing season in the East.

Opening the slopes as early as October doesn't happen by relying on Mother Nature alone. An around-the-clock snow crew, a nearly unlimited supply of water and an arsenal of air power supplied by Doosan Portable Power HP1600 air compressors, turn snowfall from a weather event into a science experiment.

Killington's snowmaking ability proved even more critical in 2016 when the resort hosted the 2016 Audi FIS Women's Ski World Cup on Thanksgiving weekend. It was the first time in 25 years that an alpine World Cup skiing event had been held in New England.
