The DSC Dredge barracuda class dredge features a swinging-ladder design and is easily transportable, making it ideal for navigational, recreational or restorative projects such as waterway maintenance and lake revitalization. Offering the option of two front-swing winches, the barracuda class is a two-in-one dredge that easily converts from a swing ladder dredge to a conventional dredge without sacrificing portability. Available in either diesel or electric power, the barracuda class discharge sizes range from 10 to 18 in. (25 to 45 cm).
Other barracuda class standard features include a user-friendly control panel with a PLC-based operating system and a power up/down spud system with API-rated winch drums for proper cable storage. A rear-kicking spud for dredge positioning and advancement also comes standard. Optional spud traveling carriages or two stern kicker spuds are available upon request.
In addition to these premium features that maximize operational efficiency and longevity, every barracuda class dredge customer benefits from DSC Dredge’s ability to customize each standard production model to fit exact applications and production requirements. These customizations include larger or smaller dredge size, extended digging depths, production instrumentation and GPS dredging systems.
The company also provides customers throughout the world with intensive and professional onsite commissioning and operational training ensuring rapid deployment while DSC Dredge’s automation skills, experienced service capabilities and parts availability have established the company as a global leader in high-performance dredging technology and equipment.
DSC Dredge LLC operates from three major manufacturing facilities located in Reserve, La., Poplarville, Miss., and Greenbush, Mich.
