Ervin Equipment Inc., a dealer of Wabash National trailers and supplier of new and pre-owned transportation equipment, has expanded its facility and staff in Toledo, Ill., to pursue opportunities in new markets and ensure a continuation of its quality customer service.

The company, which recently branched into the oil and gas industry, is further expanding into markets such as trucks and additional dry van outlets. To adapt to the areas of growth, Ervin is hiring 40 new employees and added approximately 8,000 sq. ft. to its main facility.

Because a consultative sales approach is a hallmark of Ervin Equipment, 30 of the 40 employees are in the sales department. This enhanced staff will allow Ervin to continue to source, purchase and track the most sought-after equipment. The expanded sales team also will enable each sales rep to focus on providing the highest level of customer service and matching each customer’s needs with the ideal equipment package. In addition to the elevated level of service, the expanded team allows for more direct market focus so specific representatives can work more closely with each industry segment. This ensures a knowledgeable, qualified team that can respond to market specific questions and needs.

“We’ve been involved in a variety of industries on a smaller scale for quite some time,” said Jeff Weber, vice president of sales and marketing at Ervin Equipment. “This expansion of our sales team provides a dedicated staff to each specific industry to ensure we provide customers with the most knowledgeable team to guide their buying decisions.”

In addition to the sales staff, Ervin is adding 10 employees to the support team. “We are adding additional staff to remain in contact with our customers and be sure they’re getting the best service possible,” Weber said. “We feel adding extra support professionals will ensure our customers needs are being met.”

Ervin Equipment has been serving the transportation industry for more than 30 years, offering customers a wide variety of new and used semi-trailers, refers, dry vans, lowboys and most recently tankers.
