The FAE USA Inc. annual Customer Appreciation and Demo Day at its North American headquarters in Flowery Branch, Ga., was held in early May. With approximately 100 industry professionals in attendance, this was among the highest attendance for this event. Guests made their way from the United States, Canada and South America to be a part of it.

Giorgio Carera, CEO of FAE USA Inc., kicked off the event by warmly welcoming the crowd and recognizing the local dignitaries on hand who lend tremendous support for their local manufacturers.

Carera, along with Dave Holze, FAE USA’s sales support manager, made company and product presentations of the entire FAE and PrimeTech product lines. Attendees were then loaded onto buses and transported to a demo spot in Gainesville, Ga., where FAE and PrimeTech products were demonstrated in a working environment. The high-powered PrimeTech prime movers seemed to be a big hit as the PT-300 and PT-400 were shown in some extreme forestry conditions. Holze stated that one big advantage of the FAE prime movers is, “our attachment…our carrier. This makes for a one-stop shop for any service need.”

Some of the machines used in the demos were courtesy of distributors including Atlantic & Southern Equipment, Tifton, Ga., and The Thompson CAT Rental Stores, Birmingham, Ala. The new RSL 150 asphalt grinder, the MTH 200 asphalt grinder and the mini-excavator line of mulchers made their debut at this event.

After professional demonstrations and comprehensive walk-arounds of each of the machines, attendees were bused back to the FAE USA headquarters for a barbecue lunch catered by Big Pig BBQ catering company.

After lunch, further and presentations were made.?A few of FAE’s dealers and customers had been asked to speak at the event. One of the speakers, Tom King of Supertrack based in Florida gave an OEM’s perspective of working with FAE.

King stated,“We’ve been in business since 1986 and in the mulching side of the industry for the past 12 of those years. We’ve dealt with pretty much all the mulching head manufacturers. When we were looking for a new provider, we needed a quality product and manufacturer who could provide an extremely high level of product support. We found that FAE met our standards, and we’re pretty demanding. What I like the most about FAE is that they listen. If there’s a problem, we bring it to the table and we get the problem solved and move forward. I’m very pleased to be associated as an OEM for FAE and look forward to a long-term relationship.”

From the distributorship side of the business, The Thompson CAT Rental Stores’ Marcus Jones, Birmingham, Ala., spoke to the crowd.

“We’ve worked with FAE for about five years and are proud to partner with them as a dealer,” said Jones. “When you work with FAE, it’s just like working with a Cat dealer. You get the ’whole package’ including parts, sales, service, customer service and product support. That’s what made the relationship such a great fit for us at our dealership. Great products…great people. That’s what FAE provides.”

As the event was winding down, Carera stated, “The demo went very well. The weather was perfect and the FAE employees did a great job and were very thorough with presenting all of the machines. I’m very pleased to have had dealers and customers come and speak to our guests with their testimonials on their experiences with FAE.”
