Fairchild Hires Van Clarkson

With the move, a Wisconsin native and will be returning to his Midwest roots.

Fairchild Equipment, a dealer of Yale industrial trucks and JCB construction equipment in Wisconsin and Minnesota, has announced the hiring of Van Clarkson. Clarkson is a Wisconsin native and will be returning to his Midwest roots. In joining the executive management team at Fairchild Equipment, his responsibilities will include growth and development in both the forklift truck and construction equipment business segments.

Clarkson was most recently vice president of JCB North American Dealer Sales. Based out of the U.K with North American headquarters in Savannah, Ga.,, JCB is the world’s second largest manufacturer of construction equipment. Prior to joining JCB, Clarkson held various senior management positions in finance, fleet management and dealer sales with Hyster, a division of Hyster-Yale Forklifts. Based in Greenville, N.C., Hyster-Yale Forklifts is the world’s 3rd largest manufacturer of industrial trucks.

Fairchild Equipment is based in Green Bay, Wis., and was founded in 1985 by Gary Fairchild as a Yale industrial truck dealership. Since then it has grown to 6 locations in Wisconsin and Minnesota, with a staff of 163 people and revenues on $55 million. It represents the world class vendors of Yale industrial trucks, JCB construction equipment, Mahindra tractors, and other allied products such as Taylor Dunn personnel carriers, Capacity yard spotters and Advance sweepers and scrubbers.
