PHOENIX (AP) Arizona State University is postponing the final phase of reconstruction on its football stadium until after the 2017 season.

The Arizona Republic reports that renovations on the east side of Sun Devil Stadium will be delayed because new fundraising and partnerships allow for previously unplanned enhancements to the project.

Hunt/Sundt Construction still plans to complete work on premium seating, a student-athlete building and a giant video board after the 2016 season.

Officials decided that the new ideas for the stadium's east side couldn't be properly evaluated in time for Phase III of the construction, which begins after the final home game on Nov. 10.
