Del Peterson & Associates, a national auction company based in Fremont, Neb., travels to the sale site with its custom auction trailer Josh Scheckel, owner of J.J. Scheckel, said the idea of pairing his open house with the Del Peterson Auction of equipment from Ritchie Excavating and Ritchie Quarry out of Bellevue, Iowa, worked out great. Chris Nickol (L) of Tschiggfrie Excavating in Dubuque, Iowa, and Jake Lehman of 4J Fence Co. in New Vienna, Iowa, check out the many dozers like this Cat D6 as well as a sheepsfoot if it is the right price. (L-R): Dustin Duggan and his son Luke of Bellair Construction join Brice and Dan Petitgout of Top Block & Brick to check out all of the machines for sale, including this Kobelco 135SR. The Del Peterson auction crew in the big red coats battle the elements to put on a great auction at J.J. Scheckel. (L-R) are Steve Prenzlow, Curt Peterson and Steve Peterson Kristy Fischer (L), marketing director of J.J. Scheckel and Steph Medinger, office manager of J.J. Scheckel greet attendees, run the prize table and serve up chili to the attendees. Food was provided by Riverview Café & Hotel in Bellevue, Iowa. Everyone loved the hot food on such a cold day.
