Bill Farrell, CEO of Five Star Equipment, announced the opening of the company's new facility in Orchard Park, N.Y., as well as the completion of the remodeling of its branch in Dunmore, Pa.

The brand new facility in Orchard Park opened for business in mid-January following a year of construction. The building is located at 284 Ellicott Road, Orchard Park, N.Y., behind the previous location.

The new Orchard Park facility covers a 24,000 sq. ft., including a 12,700 sq. ft. service area, with eight service bays and two 10-ton cranes, a clean room, a cylinder repair area and a dedicated equipment wash bay. In addition, the larger parts warehouse covers 3,900 sq. ft. to accommodate customers' growing parts needs.

The facility in Dunmore, Pa., which also serves as the company's corporate headquarters, underwent a major transformation throughout the parts department, service area and the areas accessible to the public.

The overall footprint in Dunmore remained virtually the same, but more space was allocated for the service areas, giving the company more service bays, as well as a dedicated wash bay and an improved layout for the track repair shop. The parts department's new layout is more efficient with a modern parts counter area to better serve customers, according to the company.

The remodeled Dunmore branch also features Five Star Equipment's Machine Health Monitoring Center, which serves as the nerve center for monitoring the health of customers' equipment, as well as the extensive Five Star Equipment rental fleet through the use of telematics.

"We are extremely pleased with the finished products for both facility projects," said Farrell. "Our teams in Orchard Park and Dunmore did an outstanding job of continuing to serve our customers throughout the complicated construction phase of the projects. Our teams didn't miss a beat."

Open house events will be scheduled at both locations in the spring. Next up for Five Star Equipment's company-wide, multi-year construction plan is a new facility for the Syracuse, N.Y., branch, an interim remodel of the Kirkwood, N.Y., branch and the remodel of the recently acquired corporate center located next to the Dunmore branch.
