ATLANTA (AP) Georgia’s Transportation Board said it has selected 41 projects valued at $138 million to be completed with federal economic stimulus money.

The board said the projects include resurfacing of Interstate 575, north of Atlanta. It said bids will be opened on June 19 for projects to be administered by the state Department of Transportation, and that construction is expected to begin in August.

The board on May 21 also approved seeking bids in June for nine non-stimulus projects, which are estimated to cost $11.5 million and will be funded through traditional sources.
