Gov. Greg Abbott announced that Texas Instruments Incorporated will increase its presence in Richardson, Texas, and build a new 300mm analog semiconductor wafer fabrication facility. TI is a leading global semiconductor design and manufacturing company that employs approximately 11,000 people throughout North America.
Upon completion, the new facility is expected to create more than 488 jobs and represent more than $3.1 billion in capital investment. A Texas Enterprise Fund grant of $5.1 million has been extended to TI contingent upon the company fulfilling these investment and staffing commitments.

"Made in Texas is a powerful label, and this expansion will create hundreds of jobs, generate billions in capital investment, and further solidify Texas' reputation both at home and abroad.
