CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) A $55 million business college building at the University of Wyoming is the largest single item in Gov. Dave Freudenthal’s proposed capital construction budget recommendation for the 2009-2010 biennium.

Altogether, the governor’s recommendations for capital construction amounts to nearly $153 million in general fund spending.

State agencies had requested a total of $348 million in general fund money for buildings.

The second largest item in Freudenthal’s recommendation is a little less than $55 million for maintenance projects.

The Wyoming Legislature meets next February to fashion a new state budget.
