Groff Tractor and Equipment Inc., headquartered in Mechanicsburg, Pa., has hired Catherine Hixon as rental coordinator of the southwestern Pennsylvania region. Groff Tractor’s rental business has grown substantially in recent years. The growth has allowed Groff to increase its rental staff with the addition of Hixon.

Hixon began her career as a client support specialist with Amcad in northern Virginia before relocating to the Pittsburgh area where she worked as the sales and operations coordinator of MAX Environmental. The knowledge Hixon gained working with the oil and gas companies will be key to helping her succeed in the construction rental industry, according to Groff.

As rental coordinator, Hixon’s responsibilities include setting up and maintaining rental contracts, while working with other rental coordinators and salesmen to utilize rental inventory.

“I’m eager to dive in, bring my skills to the rental department and become an asset in whatever way I can,” said Hixon.

Hixon’s employment with Groff Tractor began Feb. 17, and she is based out of the Cranberry Township facility.
