Groff’s Personnel Changes Focus on Customer Service in PA

Groff Tractor, headquartered in Mechanicsburg, PA, has announced recent personnel changes.

John Ehrin has been hired as the company’s compact equipment territory manager for western Pennsylvania. Terry Wilhelm, Jeff Hood and Brett Schultz has have been hired as account managers and Steve Weikert has been promoted to regional sales manager.

Ehrin will be responsible for selling and renting Case skid steer loaders, mini-excavators, mini-wheel loaders as well as Takeuchi tracked skid steer loaders and mini-excavators. In addition, he will handle all major brands of attachments.

“I think that the strong Case and Takeuchi product lines combined with Groff Tractor & Equipment Inc.’s excellent parts and service support will give western Pennsylvania the most complete source for all of our customers’ compact construction equipment needs.”

Ehrin comes to Groff with extensive training in the compact construction equipment field.

Wilhelm, with more than 29 years of selling and servicing construction equipment, has been hired to sell Groff’s full line of products in Lancaster, Lebanon and Berks counties in central Pennsylvania. He will be working from the company’s Ephrata location.

“Groff is a successful company and I am honored to be with them,” said Wilhelm.

Hood as account manager of Groff, will cover the counties of Westmoreland and Fayette in western Pennsylvania and will work from the company’s New Stanton and Valencia locations.

Hood said that he is proud to work for a company such as Groff and that, “Customer satisfaction will be my constant theme as I call on customers.”

With more than seven years of experience in construction equipment sales, Hood will be offering customers Groff’s full line of equipment.

Schultz is Groff’s account manager for southern Allegheny, Washington and Greene counties. He will represent the full product line Case equipment.

“I hope to continue the established relationships with our existing customers, while promoting Case construction equipment’s ever expanding and improving line of equipment to new customers,” said Schultz.

Schultz’s experience has been primarily in the engineering and construction industry, which help him to understand and fulfill customers’ needs in both equipment and job-site considerations.

In his new position as regional sales manager, Weikert will be responsible for overseeing all outside sales and rental activity in the Mechanicsburg and Ephrata branches. He will work with the current account managers at these branches in order to help them support our customers.

“Steve did an outstanding job as an account manager in our Ephrata branch. As our business continues to grow it was apparent that we needed a full-time manager in the field to provide fast and accurate responses to our customers. Steve will do a great job in this new role,” said Michael Savastio, executive vice president.

“Providing continued outstanding service for all the product lines for Groff will be my aspiration,” said Weikert. “Groff is a fantastic company and I have been honored to work for them for three years.”

Weikert has more than eight years of experience in the construction industry.

Groff Tractor offers its customers product lines including: Case loader/backhoes, wheel loaders, crawler dozers, hydraulic excavators, R/T forklifts, articulated trucks, motor graders, skid steer loaders, trenchers, telescopic handlers, mini-excavators and mini-wheel loaders; Takeuchi mini-excavators and tracked skid steer loaders; Liebherr crawler loaders; Bomag compaction equipment; Hypac compaction equipment; Wacker rammers, vibratory plates, vibratory asphalt rollers, concrete trowels, trench rollers, pumps, generators and concrete vibrators; GME trench shoring, shoring systems and accessories, and manhole boxes; Atlas Copco hydraulic breakers; Magnum hydraulic breakers; and Duratech tub grinders.
