After 25 years in the trailer business, Guinn’s Trailer Sales motto of “On the Move” has been taken literally by the company. It has recently built a dealership facility and expanded its lines to take on the addition of construction and specialized carriers.

Guinn’s Trailer Sales was established in 1977 in Nashville, TN. The company is family-owned and operated by Chuck Guinn and his cousin, Rick Walker. Guinn’s has a team of 35 employees that are the backbone of the company, according to Guinn.

Over the years, Guinn’s Trailer Sales has catered primarily to owner-operators and small fleets, providing new and used flatbed, dry vans and drop-deck trailers.

The company built a new facility in LaVergne, TN, just outside Nashville, on of 8 acres (3.2 ha) of property, boasting a six-bay service shop, fully stocked parts department and sales. “We are proud to represent what we feel are some of the top-of-the-line manufacturers in our industry,” Guinn said.

Guinn’s provides quality built trailers by Trailmobile, Transcraft, Manac, Reitnouer, X-L Specialized and Talbert.

According to Guinn, “We feel that our Service Department team is one of the best in the Southeast. We strive for quality repair work and will not except anything less from our service technicians. Our service customer base is diversified to include the owner-operator, fleet trucking company and construction needs. You can’t be everything to everybody, so we strive to be the best at what we do.”

The company’s Service Department stays open from 7 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. on Saturdays to provide for its customers. It also has three mobile service trucks that are available 24-hours a day.

The Parts Department specializes in cargo control products. Although the company does carry a wide variety of cargo control products, Guinn’s also carries lights, flooring, Airride suspension parts, wheels, drums and much more. “We understand that owner-operators and construction companies also need parts on weekends so we are open on Saturdays to meet there needs,” he said.

Guinn’s Trailer Sales diversified into heavy-duty construction trailers this year to cater to its construction and specialized needs customers.

Edward Best came on board with the company with 31 years of experience in Lowboy and specialized equipment. His background comes from working for Talbert, Birmingham Trailers, Fontaine, Etnyre and XL Specialized. Best was heavy haul manager of the J.F. Lomma Co. in Kearny, NJ, for five years. He is qualified to answer all lowboy and stretch trailer questions and help customers design a custom trailer for their specialized applications.

Guinn’s keeps a wide variety of lowboy’s, extendable flatbed and drop decks and tag trailers in stock.
