Hawthorne Cat Announces New Chief Financial Officer

Hawthorne Cat has promoted Brian Verhoeven to the position of chief financial officer (CFO) of the Hawthorne enterprise. As CFO, Verhoeven will have primary responsibility for accounting, financial reporting, credit, information technology (IT) and corporate banking relationships.

Recently, Verhoeven held the position as senior controller for 2-1/2 years, in charge of accounting and financial reporting. Prior to coming to Hawthorne, he worked for Deloitte & Touche LLP for nine years as a senior tax manager and DBL Distributing for three years as a controller.

“Working with Brian over the past two years, I have been impressed with his professionalism and his team’s ability to communicate and provide timely financial data to the management team. This financial reporting has helped us to drive efficiency and productivity gains throughout the organization.
