Hertz Equipment Rental Corporation (HERC) celebrated the grand opening of its St. Peters, Mo., General Rental facility on May 30.

The event, which drew nearly 300 people, showcased the facility’s showroom and product line, which includes small tools, equipment and contractors’ supplies.

At the grand opening, vendor demonstrations and literature were available, a free lunch was catered by Super Smokers BBQ sponsored in part by Case, and giveaways were provided on-site. Local radio station KSHE 95 broadcasted live from the event.

The grand opening of HERC St. Peters is part of the company’s General Rental program expansion, which HERC began in 2003 in support of its commitment to increase services and products for small, medium and large contractors as well as homeowners.

The company has added 23 General Rental locations in 2007 as part of its planned expansion in that line of equipment rental and currently has more than 100 General Rental locations throughout the United States and Canada.

HERC’s St. Peters General Rental location offers a broad range of products, including roto-tillers, floor sanders, trenchers, paint sprayers, ladders, pumps and scaffolding. In addition, HERC St. Peters offers a wide assortment of construction and industrial equipment from manufacturers such as Case, Genie, Ingersoll Rand, JLG, John Deere, Wacker and Stihl.

St. Peters also is a Bobcat dealer, with specialized service and parts personnel.

Located at 8016 Veterans Memorial Parkway, St. Peters, Mo., the 10,000-sq. ft. HERC facility sits on a 3-acre lot.

Hours of operation are Monday through Friday 7 a.m. to 5 pm.
