Construction Equipment Guide

Hertz Equipment Rental Corporation has opened Hertz Service Pump locations in Charlotte, NC, Charleston, SC and Virginia Beach, VA, adding three new branches to the Hertz Service Pump family.

Gerry Plescia, HERC president and executive vice president of The Hertz Corporation, commented, ”Since its introduction in 1999, customer response has been quite favorable for Hertz Service Pump. As we evaluated plans for expansion, the mid-Atlantic region was a natural choice due to the construction and industrial sectors’ existing and projected need for pump equipment.’

Hertz Service Pump has one of the most extensive lines of pump equipment available in the industry, including a selection of 3-in. to 16-in. automatic priming pumps, electric and hydraulic submersible pumps and self-priming units. Hertz also carries a complete line of accessories including hoses, pipes, fittings, wellpoint gear and sewer plugs. Used for construction dewatering, rock quarry applications, industrial and refinery usage, municipal sewer bypass and emergency flood response, Hertz’ inventory includes pumps by Pioneer, Sykes, Thompson, Gorman Rupp and Honda.

Hertz Equipment Rental Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of The Hertz Corporation and a leading construction and industrial equipment rental business in North America, operates from more than 270 locations in North America and more than 95 locations in Europe.
