HIPOWER SYSTEMS has launched its new EHR 60/130, expanding its EHR Battery Power Generator range with a higher-capacity three-phase solution designed to deliver reliable, flexible and efficient power for a wide range of applications.

The EHR Battery Power Generator is an energy storage and power distribution system that provides silent, zero-emission power when operating in battery mode. The system can operate independently or be integrated with diesel or spark-ignited generator sets, connected to the public electrical grid or combined with renewable energy sources such as photovoltaic solar panels, according to HIPOWER SYSTEMS.

HICORE, HIPOWER's energy management technology. HICORE manages and selects the most appropriate energy source according to the charging and load conditions, helping optimize energy consumption, reduce fuel use and emissions and maximize overall system efficiency.

The EHR 60/130 brings greater power capacity and versatility to the EHR range, offering a three-phase solution designed for demanding applications where reliable, flexible and efficient power is essential.

The EHR range includes both single-phase and three-phase configurations, with different power and energy storage options to meet a variety of application requirements.

Designed to follow three simple steps, the pre-configured working mode selector allows the user to configure the Battery Power Generator for the different applications or modes of use including Plug & Play, Power Booster, Light Loading, Peak Shaving, UPS and Load Sharing.

Together, these operating modes help improve energy efficiency, flexibility and sustainability while reducing unnecessary fuel consumption, emissions and operating costs, according to HIPOWER SYSTEMS.

Built-In Automatic Bypass

The EHR 60/130 comes standard with an Automatic Bypass feature, providing built-in redundancy to help ensure continuous power to the site.

If the battery system exits operating mode due to an alarm or fault condition, the Automatic Bypass maintains the connection between the generator and the load. This helps prevent power interruptions and minimize downtime.

Compact, Integrated Design

The EHR integrates the major components required for energy storage and power distribution into a compact, mobile canopy. The system incorporates LFP batteries, inverter technology, control systems, power connections, solar MC4 connectors and MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracking) technology in a single integrated solution.

The EHR is designed for demanding operating environments, with a mobile rental canopy engineered to withstand a wide range of environmental conditions. The system can operate in temperatures ranging from 5 F to 122 F, while integrated electrical and mechanical protection systems help ensure safe and reliable operation.

High-Performance Energy Storage

The EHR uses Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery technology, engineered for long service life and frequent cycling. With a rated design life of up to 50,000 operating hours, the battery system is designed to provide energy storage over extended periods of operation.

The EHR also can provide high overload capacity for motor-starting applications, making it suitable for demanding loads that require additional starting power, according to HIGHPOWER SYSTEMS.

Supporting Energy Transition

"This new product is undoubtedly another step forward in the energy transition process," said Francisco Gracia, president and CEO of HIMOINSA. "Our goal is to continue reducing the carbon footprint through more efficient, flexible and environmentally sustainable power solutions."

The EHR 60/130 is designed for applications where power reliability, low noise, reduced emissions and energy efficiency are essential. Ideal applications include urban and noise-sensitive environments, construction sites, commercial buildings, events, telecommunications, rental applications, light-loading applications and renewable energy integration.

With the addition of the EHR 60/130, HIPOWER SYSTEMS continues to expand its portfolio of intelligent energy solutions, providing customers with greater flexibility to combine battery storage, traditional generation, the electrical grid and renewable energy technologies in a single integrated power system.

HICORE Smart Management System

HICORE is HIPOWER's energy management system, designed to optimize the use of multiple power sources according to the load conditions at any given time. The system can manage and coordinate the EHR with diesel or spark-ignited generator sets, the public electrical grid and renewable energy sources such as photovoltaic solar power.

For maximum simplicity, the Plug & Play mode allows the EHR to automatically determine the most efficient operating strategy based on real-time analysis of the connected power sources and site load. This intelligent automation helps ensure that the available energy is used as efficiently as possible, while minimizing unnecessary fuel consumption and emissions.

Designed Around User

The EHR was developed with simplicity, accessibility and intelligent control at the core, according to HIGHPOWER SYSTEMS. Its user-focused design is built around two key principles:

User Experience: An intuitive interface simplifies system configuration and operation. A guided start-up assistant walks the operator through the initial setup, helping ensure the EHR is configured correctly and ready to operate quickly.

Always Connected: The EHR comes equipped with C4CLOUD, providing access to system performance, load profile and operational data. Users can monitor, analyze and manage the system locally or remotely via 4G connectivity, providing the information needed to optimize the power solution both on site and from a distance.

Efficiency, Optimal Performance

The EHR can operate as a stand-alone battery power source. It also can be integrated with a diesel or spark-ignited generator set to create an intelligent hybrid power solution that optimizes generator performance according to the site's load requirements.

By combining battery energy storage with a generator set, the EHR helps reduce unnecessary generator runtime, improve load management, and significantly reduce fuel consumption emissions.

Advantages of EHR + Generator Integration

Extend Generator Life: Reduce unnecessary operating hours and minimize wear on the generator set.

Reduce Maintenance: Fewer generator operating hours can help reduce maintenance requirements by up to 50 percent.

Reduce Fuel Consumption: Optimize generator operation and battery power to reduce fuel consumption by up to 40 percent.

Optimize Generator Loading: Keep the generator operating within a more efficient load range, improving overall system performance.

Avoid Generator Oversizing: Use stored battery energy to provide the additional starting power required by demanding electrical motors without the need to oversize the generator set.

Asset for Rental Companies

For operators and rental companies, adding the EHR can help reduce Operating Expenses (OPEX) while improving equipment utilization and contributing to a lower Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).

EHR also expands the capabilities of a rental fleet, allowing rental companies to offer battery power independently or combine it with generator sets for greater efficiency, flexibility and reliability.
