Looking to bid on this Caterpillar D8R is Pat Hadley, vice president of Hadley Construction, Pittston, Pa. Discussing prices and the international market are Emad Malek (L), president of Mora Development, Wilmington, Del., and Dennis Miller, founder of Heavy Equipment & Loader Parts, Lebanon, Pa., (formerly of Grantville, Pa.) and run by his two sons, Eric and Mike Hunyady is prepared for heavy rains as the Saylorsburg auction gets under way. The bidding started on this Caterpillar backhoe at $19,500 and ended in the mid-$20,000 range. Jeff Jimenez, independent contractor from Wind Gap, Pa., purchased the backhoe. Testing out this Komatsu dozer is Joe Quaresimo, president of Whitestone Construction Company, Marshall, Pa. The bidding started on this Caterpillar backhoe at $19,500 and ended in the mid-$20,000 range. Jeff Jimenez, independent contractor from Wind Gap, Pa., purchased the backhoe.

Hunyady Auction Company held a sale Sept. 30 in Saylorsburg, Pa.

Heavy rains and even a tornado watch didn’t keep bidders away from the sale site just outside of Allentown.

A good selection of crawler tractors, hydraulic excavators and attachments, rubber-tired loaders, skid steers and a pair of portable trommel screen and screening plants went to the highest bidders.
