IEW’s Darrell Harms Inducted as New President of UTCA

Darrell Harms, vice president of the IEW Construction Group based in Trenton, N.J., was inducted as President of the Utility and Transportation Contractors Association of New Jersey (UTCA) at the organization’s Annual Convention held in Atlantic City, N.J., recently. Harms got his start inconstruction 26 years ago as a teenager while in high school.

UTCA’s new chief elected officer is a civil engineering graduate of Fairleigh Dickinson University and has served as an officer and director of the UTCA board of directors for eight years. During that period, Harms has served wtih numerous association committees, as association secretary/treasurer and vice president.

As vice president of the IEW Construction Group, Harms is responsible for estimating and bidding of work for the company, while also responsible for the administration of projects.

UTCA includes approximately 1,000 member firms active in road, bridge, utility and marine construction throughout the metropolitan region.
