In December of 2010, the Independent Equipment Dealers Association (IEDA) announced the launch of a newly designed Web site for the association. The site was strategically designed to offer the Independent Equipment Dealers of the organization an ability to communicate efficiently with fellow members.

The IEDA Community, released to all members the first week of January 2011, is the first and only communication platform built specifically to aid Independent Equipment Dealers in sharing information with a goal of ultimately increasing sales for member companies, according to IEDA.

As each of the members owns and operates their own individual businesses, this platform was designed with the intention of uniting members and providing them an opportunity to develop relationships and share information in a secure and trusted environment. The new site allows members to communicate privately with other members both from an office and while on the road, so the details of a deal are never public.

The board of directors of the IEDA has expectations that this sales tool will prove to be of great value to members.

The Independent Equipment Dealers Association is a non-profit trade association promoting participation, professionalism and advancement in the independent distribution of heavy equipment. The IEDA focuses its efforts on providing discounts, marketing, advertising, education and networking opportunities to members resulting in increased sales for member companies. Members of the IEDA are committed to displaying leadership in the industry by making ethical decisions and sound judgement, by making accurate claims to customers and by utilizing the products and services offered to them by Associate Members. The IEDA was established in 2002 and has become a unified and powerful voice within the industry.
