To make way for the new $60-million Ritz-Carlton Charlotte at the Bank of America Corporate Center in downtown Charlotte, NC, the water cooling lines of the Bank of America Corporate Center and Founders Hall needed to be relocated under the adjacent College Street — a busy four-lane road.

James E. Stephenson, president and chief executive officer of Yancey Bros. Co., the “nation’s oldest Caterpillar dealer” serving north Georgia for more than 80 years, announced Dec. 13, the successful acquisition of the operating assets of Carlton Company, south Georgia’s Caterpillar dealer since 1951.

Yancey Bros. Co., the Caterpillar dealership serving the northern half of Georgia, announced on Monday, Oct. 7, that it has signed a non-binding Letter of Intent to acquire certain assets of Carlton Company, the Albany, GA,-based Caterpillar dealership that serves the southern half of Georgia.

Fluor Corporation recently announced that it was awarded a $125 million contract to provide general contractor services for a new Ritz-Carlton resort in the Cayman Islands. Situated in the center of exclusive Seven Mile Beach on the island of Grand Cayman, the project will include a 365-room hotel, restaurants, conference facilities, full-service European-style spa, a Greg Norman signature designed golf course and all of the amenities of a five-star resort. A focal point of the property will be The Residences at The Ritz-Carlton, with 71 units available for purchase. "This award marks another milestone for our commercial operations.
