The IEDA held its Orlando, Fla., annual event on Feb. 15 to 18 at the Omni Resorts in ChampionsGate. The IEDA leaders and membership pride themselves on being reputable, highly qualified professionals in the used equipment marketplace. IEDA members have seen that participation in the IDEA has resulted in growth, opportunity and financial success.

Orlando and Chicago area crane operators took the top spots at the MCM & CIC Crane Operator Skills Championship, held March 6 to 7, 2014, in Las Vegas, Nev. Featured during ConExpo-Con/Agg, the competition drew crowds of onlookers and more than 40 operators who vied for the title in the championship competition.

As part of its ongoing partnership with the AMSOIL World Championship Snowmobile Derby, CASE Construction Equipment is auctioning off a new SR175 Skid Steer Loader. All proceeds will benefit the United Way. The Skid Steer is autographed by Derby champions dating back to the very first event in 1964, won by Stan Hayes when he was 13 years old.

Prior to his dramatic win on Sunday in the Volvo Golf Champions in South Africa, world number four and local hero Louis Oosthuizen had the best Friday of his life. Not only did he move into the lead in the tournament, but he also received the keys to the very thing that he has coveted for two years – a Volvo EC55B Compact Excavator.

Case Construction Equipment will again be a sponsor of the AMSOIL World Championship Snowmobile Derby in Eagle River, Wis., which celebrates its 50th anniversary this year. The annual event is scheduled for Jan. 17 to 20, 2013. As part of the sponsorship, Case will provide skid steers, compact track loaders and a wheel loader to support the derby and facility in various chores, such as building the snow course, cleaning the ice course between races and moving equipment and materials.

The TORC Series off road racing was a great way to spend an evening with family members. The Mack Customer Center recently hosted the Lehigh Valley Truck Driving Championships Tune-Up Drive, a warm-up for next month’s Pennsylvania state championship competition. Throughout the May 20 event, more than 55 professional truck drivers from 15 companies showcased their on-road judgment and maneuvering abilities on a 10-point skills course.

In a little town where everyone knows everybody else, newly crowned world snowmobile racing champion Nick Van Strydonk is more than just the average 21-year-old to his neighbors here. Van Strydonk, who captured the recent 49th running of the AMSOIL World Championship Snowmobile Derby in Eagle River, Wis., has unusually close ties to one of the event’s main sponsors, Case Construction Equipment.

Case Construction Equipment crowned the champion of its Triple Threat Rodeo series, following a day-long competition among 59 of the United States and Canada’s most talented equipment operators at the 2012 World of Concrete show in Las Vegas. Case awarded prizes with a total value of approximately $140,000 at the competition’s conclusion.
