JCB has been awarded a share of a Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) contract as part of the DLA's Heavy Equipment Procurement Program. The contract gives JCB eligibility to provide construction machines, some of which are manufactured at JCB's North American Headquarters in Pooler, Ga., to every branch of the U.S.

JCB announced the launch of the 66-40E Electric Teletruk to customers in the United States. The 66-40E industrial forklift features a forward reach in a market that has standardized a straight mast. Additionally, as the company's latest zero emissions machine, the 66-40E Teletruk delivers the material handling capability of an industrial forklift with an exceptional operator environment, according to the manufacturer.

One of JCB's longest-standing customers has unwrapped a unique present — a vintage backhoe loader restored to its former glory to mark the equipment manufacturer's approaching 75th anniversary. Lincolnshire-based Eric Carnaby & Son has been a customer since 1959 and over the following six decades has bought more than 150 JCB machines.

Recently, the town of Plymouth in Chenango County, N.Y., not far from Norwich, N.Y., took possession of the very first JCB model 150X Tier IV Final excavator to be delivered in North America. Powered by the JCB EcoMax engine, these new excavators boast an enhanced operator environment with a 15 percent larger cab; ease of operation; great efficiencies; ground level access to key service inspection areas; and performance enhancements that have increased the overall capacities of the excavator, according to the manufacturer.

SoCal JCB came under new management in April, as long time equipment veteran Brady Colton took over the reins of the Fontana location which had previously been operated as a corporate store. As Dealer-Principal, Colton will be responsible for all aspects of the dealership.

JCB is celebrating the news that its electric mini excavator has scooped one of the world's most prestigious prizes for engineering innovation. The UK's Royal Academy of Engineering announced that JCB's ultra-quiet and zero emissions 19C-1E electric mini excavator has won the 2020 MacRobert Award.

JCB has been awarded a contract to supply the U.S. military with a fleet of specialized high speed excavators over the next eight years in a deal worth up to $269 million. The deal centers on the supply of High Mobility Engineer Excavators (HMEEs) for the U.S.

The new JCB Series III agricultural telehandlers are designed specifically for agricultural customers, feature the JCB Command Plus cab, and include several other enhancements including increased lift capacity. These new features allow operators to be more productive, while the new Command Plus cab provides operators with enhanced comfort, quietness and all-round visibility, according to the manufacturer.

JCB in the United Kingdom is poised to re-start production at a factory closed as a result of the Coronavirus crisis in order to join the global effort to manufacture ventilators, the company announced March 30. JCB received a direct appeal from UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson to help plug the national ventilator shortage and to help save lives of Coronavirus patients.

Company Wrench held JCB Equipment Demo Day at the Ohio Expo Center in Columbus, Ohio, on Feb. 28. The event attracted construction contractors, municipal maintenance employees and landscape contractors from around the Columbus metro and surrounding areas.
