Ted Ulrich (L) of Price Gregory, in Houston, Texas, and Roger Swanepoel of AJS Construction in Glenwood City, Wis., are at the I.R.A.Y. auction to check out the equipment prices and hopefully to find a good deal. Mary Rahier (L), CFO and Jesse Rahier, owner, both of Mitch Rahier Logging, located in Big Lake, Minn., check out a 1986 Caterpillar 215B with a Hewitt bucket. RK Construction of Marcell, Minn., was represented by Dave Kongsjord (L) and Ray Kongsjord, owner. Both were looking at bidding on a side dump and a Cat D6 dozer. Travis Chilson (L) and Blake Fjosne of Fjosne Construction from Willow River, Minn.,  bought this Cat D6 dozer for $33,000. Jim Johnson of Bollig and Sons, Hopkins, Minn. checks out a Cat D9 that went for $11,000.

The rain and mud didn’t stop the crowds from attending I.R.A.Y.’s March 5 auction in Foley, Minn. Online bidding for the heavy equipment also was available.
