JESCO/Ditch Witch recently held a joint seminar on horizontal drilling in Newburgh, N.Y.

The well-attended sessions allowed long-time and new Ditch Witch users to learn about JESCO’s history and future plans as well as its commitment to the Ditch Witch line.

JESCO President Jon Robustelli and Shan Kirtley, Ditch Witch vice president of sales and marketing, welcomed guests at the start of the event.

Guests then attended various seminars on a variety of Ditch Witch products, along with informational sessions from Earth Tool Company’s Chuck Smith; Mark McMillion, Northeast/Midwest regional sales manager, Hammerhead Equipment; and Frank Canon, Baroid Industrial Drilling Products representative.

At the end of the first day of workshops, attendees were taken on a facility tour of the Orange County Choppers (OCC), featured on both The Discovery Channel and The Learning Channel, which was followed by a reception. JESCO also arranged a question-and answer forum with Paul Teutul Sr. of OCC. Everyone enjoyed the chance to see the JESCO facility first-hand and meet with Teutul Sr., as well as the opportunity to socialize and network at dinner.

At the event’s conclusion, attendees, such as Matt Dyer, William J Dyer & Sons, Melrose, N.Y., said, “It was a great experience with lot of learning opportunities and put together very well — and there was the bonus of the OCC tour.”

Dyer, a new customer said that he “really appreciated the invitation. We recently purchased a 922 drill and FX30 vac and JESCO’s service department is great. We worked with them for the first time last week. JESCO sent out a team to help teach and train our employees on the equipment. Speaking with a JESCO representative is a great part of the service they offer to customers.”

The session Dyer enjoyed the most was the discussion with Frank Canon.

“He was able to break down valuable information in the easiest way possible, I was amazed at how he kept everyone engaged for two hours. All these companies have top-of-the-line customer service departments. They all love what they do and want to get out in the field to help the customer. It is no wonder JESCO has teamed up with these manufacturers as they all follow the same philosophy of great customer service.”
