JLG Industries Inc., an Oshkosh Corporation business and a global manufacturer of mobile elevating work platforms (MEWPs) and telehandlers, announces the redesigned JLG SkyTrak 10042, 10054 and 12054 telehandlers for the North American market. Part of JLG's full SkyTrak telehandler line update, these next-generation machines deliver updated technology and serviceability, building on the SkyTrak reputation contractors have known for decades.

Purpose-built for demanding construction, infrastructure, industrial and material-handling applications, the refreshed models offer up to 12,000-lb. lift capacity and up to 53-ft. 2-in. lift height, making them ideal for lifting heavy pallets, staging materials, supporting steel erection and handling large equipment on modern job sites.

"Completing the redesign of the SkyTrak telehandler lineup represents a major milestone for the brand," said John Boehme, senior product manager — telehandlers, JLG. "We engineered these updated SkyTrak 10K and 12K telehandler models with advanced technology and functional updates inspired directly by customer feedback, supporting productivity and operator confidence without compromising the workhorse reputation SkyTrak is known for."

Redesign for Today's Job Sites

The remastered SkyTrak 10042, 10054 and 12054 models feature updated technology and functionality engineered to meet evolving job site demands. Each model is powered by a Tier 4 Final Cummins F3.8 110-hp diesel engine and equipped with a 4-speed Powershift transmission featuring new SmartShift technology, which automatically shifts between third and fourth gears to support efficient operation.

These models also feature reimagined technology, including a new advanced control system with updated diagnostics and expanded functionality, including optional Load Stability Indication (LSI) and Seatbelt Engagement and Operator Presence (SEAOP) technologies. LSI helps operators work with greater confidence by sensing forward load capacity and displaying visual indicators, while SEAOP provides visual and audible alarms and limits certain machine functions when operator engagement requirements are not met.

An updated cab design delivers more information at a glance with a larger LCD display and improved single-page load charts. Flat glass construction on the enclosed cabs is designed to support simpler glass replacement.

Productivity Enhancements

Designed to support operator efficiency, the models' reworked functionality includes an electric-over-hydraulic joystick with integrated auxiliary hydraulic functions and attachment tilt controls for greater multifunction capability. Auxiliary hydraulic connections have also been relocated to the side of the boom head, supporting streamlined attachment changes.

JLG's ClearSky Smart Fleet two-way communications platform comes standard on these models for updated connectivity, troubleshooting and fleet management. Optional technology packages further support job site and operator awareness, including:

  • Multi-view reverse camera system with left, right and rear views displayed on a single monitor
  • Reverse sensing system with audible in-cab alerts
  • White noise backup alarm for directional sound notification
Built for Heavy-Duty Applications

The redesigned lineup includes three models engineered for a wide range of heavy lifting and material handling applications:

  • SkyTrak 10042: 10,000-lb. capacity, 42-ft. 1-in. lift height and 26-ft. 9-in. forward reach
  • SkyTrak 10054: 10,000-lb. capacity, 53-ft. 2-in. lift height and 38-ft. 10-in. forward reach
  • SkyTrak 12054:12,000-lb. capacity, 53-ft. 2-in. lift height and 38-ft. 10-in. forward reach

Together, these redesigned models can provide the versatility and lifting performance needed for construction material placement, infrastructure support, machinery movement and industrial handling applications.
