Joseph Finn Co. Holds Auction for Diaz Construction

Bruno Rodrigues, Diaz Construction, Avon, Mass., attended Joseph Finn Co. Inc.’s auction on June 29. Stephan (L) and Nick Mees, father and son, traveled from Belgium to purchase earthmoving equipment in the United States. This 2002 Caterpillar 430DIT loader backhoe sold for $30,000. The hot and humid summer day didn’t keep attendees from visiting Joseph Finn Co. Inc.’s sale site in Avon, Mass. Denny Easton, sales representative, T-Quip Sales & Rentals, Londonderry, N.H., checking out the equipment. One very lucky bidder purchased this 2007 Extec Model S-5 screener for only $78,000. The public auction sale included 22 lots of equipment, including a 2007 Fintec 1080 cone crusher, which sold for $215,000. (L-R): Jeff Masterson, Masterson Construction, Danvers, Mass., Jim Wojdylak, Schmidt Equipment Inc., North Oxford, Mass; and Jack Masterson, also of Masterson Construction, stopped talking business for a quick photo-op. Paul Finn, co-owner of Joseph Finn Co. Inc., panned the crowd of attendees to find the bidders for each lot of late-model construction equipment sold. Ross Finn, co-owner of Joseph Finn Co. Inc., took to the auctioneer’s platform promptly at 11 a.m.

Joseph Finn Co. Inc., Newtown, Mass., held a public auction sale for Diaz Construction at Diaz’s facility in Avon, Mass., on June 29. The sale, which was conducted online as well as on-site, featured surplus items from the contractor’s recent job completions.

Twenty-two lots of late-model equipment crossed the block including excavators, crushers, screeners and dozers.
