On Sep. 28, Kirby-Smith Machinery Inc. was named Best Oilfield Rental Equipment Company in the Permian Basin. Every year the Odessa American puts out the “Odessa American 2014 Best of the Permian Basin Readers’ Choice” awards for business in the area. For being a fairly new dealer in the Permian Basin area, this is a great achievement for the Odessa branch.

“Do whatever it takes to make our customers successful.” That is the philosophy of the Kirby-Smith Odessa branch. Kirby-Smith’s commitment to its customers goes beyond carrying world-class products. The Company backs them with exceptional parts and service support as well. Kirby-Smith genuinely cares for its customers and works diligently to make sure all customers are satisfied with its service, according to the company.

Kirby-Smith Machinery has been ranked in North America for many years as one of the top tier distributors of Komatsu, Manitou, Gehl, National Crane and Wirtgen.

The Odessa location rents, sells and services heavy equipment and boom truck cranes, in a new environmentally friendly facility. Customers have many options to buy, lease and rent to own heavy equipment or crane products such as Komatsu dirt equipment, National Crane boom trucks, Manitou variable reach forklifts, Gehl skid steers, Wirtgen stabilizers, Kleemann Crushers, Hamm rollers and Vogele asphalt pavers just to name a few.

Making customers wait weeks for service is not in Kirby-Smith Machinery’s operating philosophy. It is very unusual for a Kirby-Smith customers to not get service within 24 to 48 hours.

The company offers in shop service as well as field service where Kirby-Smith Machinery technicians come directly to customers’s facility or job site with fully equipped heavy-duty service trucks. Kirby-Smith services the units it rents or sells with certified factory trained technicians. In Odessa it developed its own testing ground to ensure units are “rent ready” to take on the harsh Permian Basin environment.
