Kris Koberg, CEO of DICA, has been elected to the Specialized Carriers & Rigging Association's (SC&RA) Crane & Rigging Governing Committee.

Consisiting of elected industry members, SC&RA governing committees identify issues and recommend actions that benefit association members while providing leadership for their respective industry groups.

Reporting to the association board of directors, the Crane & Rigging Governing Committee is responsible for guiding initiatives that support professionals with an interest in crane and rigging-related subjects.

"One of the things that has always made SC&RA valuable is the willingness of its members to share knowledge and work together on issues that affect the entire industry," said Koberg. "Those conversations help shape better guidance, stronger best practices and ultimately safer job sites. I'm looking forward to working alongside the committee to continue building on that foundation."

Koberg has been a member of SC&RA for many years. In 2020, he was appointed to the association's Crane & Rigging Group Safety Education & Training Committee, where he served a three-year term.

In 2022, he was named chairman of SC&RA's Outrigger Mat Resource Task Force, leading an industry group focused on advancing awareness of standards, regulations and best practices for selecting and using outrigger pads and mats.

As CEO of DICA, Koberg works closely with crane owners, operators and lifting professionals to develop engineered ground support solutions that improve jobsite safety and equipment stability. His industry experience and long-standing involvement with SC&RA provide valuable perspective as the committee addresses issues affecting the crane and rigging industry, according to DICA.
