After test operating a Cat 621G scraper, Billy Seals, Thompson Tractor, Birmingham, Ala., jots a few noteworthy items about the machine. Keeping an eye on the pricing of the scrapers in the auction line-up are Mark Dyer (L), MEGA Machinery, Knoxville, Tenn.; and Lee Mashburn, Mashburn Equipment Sales & Rentals, Ringgold, Ga. “You in or you out,” says Jack Lyon of Alex Lyon and Son Auctioneers as he auctions off some of the excavators at the Bremen, Ga., sale. Attending the sale with a primary interest in bidding on the late model cranes are (L-R) Shaune Rados and Michael Liptak, both of ALL Erection & Crane Rental, Cleveland; Kris Foster, Wells Fargo, Louisville, Ky.; and Larry Freckmann, ALL Crane Rental, Atl A Grove RT880E, the first of the seven late-model Grove rough-terrain cranes to sell at this auction, rolled out at a final bid of $455,000.

Alex Lyon & Son Auctioneers held an auction west of Atlanta in Bremen, Ga., on Oct. 7.

The sale included machines from Cyclone Land Development Co. Inc., Atlanta, as well as rental returns from Cowin Equipment and Neff Rentals and featured a nice package of late model, low-hour Grove rough-terrain cranes.
