Renter of excavation, shoring and structural support equipment, Mabey Bridge & Shore Inc. will open its second Pennsylvania location in Philadelphia. The new yard is located at the intersection of Aramingo Avenue and Wheatsheaf Lane and initially will stock trench boxes, road plates and temporary roadway mats before potentially adding interlocking sheet pile and slide rail equipment later next year.

“Mabey has a strong presence throughout the Mid-Atlantic but we’ve never had direct access to Philadelphia contractors,” said Gerard Dillon, Mabey’s regional sales manager for the area. “This new location means we can provide the great experience, safe products, low pricing and engineering services we’re known for with lower trucking costs and shorter delivery times to the Philly area.”

Trench boxes are available in two or four sided configurations with panel lengths up to 24 ft. (7.3 m), and Mabey’s 8 by 14 ft. (2.4 by 4.3 m), interlocking roadway mats provide a stable work surface on some of Philadelphia’s softest and wettest grounds.
