MacKinnon Equipment & Services Founder and CEO, A.D. “Sandy” MacKinnon and President John Christiansen announced that the company has promoted three team members this week.

Alex MacKinnon

Alex MacKinnon has been promoted to senior vice president of the company. MacKinnon has worked with the company for more than 20 years. In 1982, he began working part-time during his summer breaks from high school when his father, Sandy, purchased the company. Over the years, he has worked as an industrial salesperson and general manager of the Tampa and Orlando dealerships.

“Alex has truly demonstrated his leadership abilities by simultaneously building the JCB construction equipment business while maintaining our Yale industrial equipment market share,” commented President John Christiansen. “He has built an outstanding team in both Tampa and Orlando through his mentoring and we are seeing the results in our sales activity.”

John Hilberling

John Hilberling has been promoted to vice president. Hilberling began working with the company in 2004 as an industrial salesperson. In 2010, he was promoted to general manager of the Orlando division.

“John has been a star in our company since he was a salesperson in Orlando selling dozens of used forklifts,” Christansen said. “He grew the business in that market and has helped to improve the Orlando operations tremendously.”

Stacey Hansen

Stacey Hansen has served as the marketing manager since February 2010 and has been promoted to vice president of marketing.

Founder and CEO “Sandy” MacKinnon commented, “Stacey took the lead role in the rebranding of the company from Yale Lift Trucks to MacKinnon Equipment & Services. From the logo design and brand messaging, communications, and the design of all collateral — the project was seamless.”

Hansen continues to use her expertise in all departments of the company and has marketing responsibilities for all four divisions including Tampa, Orlando, Jacksonville, and Tifton.

“I believe that hiring, mentoring, and retaining the right people has been the key to our success,” MacKinnon added. “We continue the strong philosophy of promoting from within and this announcement confirms the strong beliefs that are the underpinning of our company. These individuals epitomize our beliefs. Every day they demonstrate their leadership skills as well as live by the company core values.”
