DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) Nearly $200,000 in construction equipment stolen in September has been recovered and a man has been arrested in connection with the theft, police said.

Rockney Englehoven of rural Oskaloosa, was charged with first-degree theft.

The charges stem from the theft of an excavator and trailer that were taken from a construction site along Interstate 235. The equipment was found at a property in rural Mahaska County, police said.

Officials said several other pieces of construction equipment from other sites around the state also were found on the property. The value of that equipment was estimated at $100,000.

The investigation was continuing.
