Manheim, a provider of vehicle remarketing services, began hosting heavy truck and equipment auctions at its Imperial location in Lakeland, Fla., to meet the growing needs of customers looking for used vehicles other than the traditional automobile.
The company plans to have three to four auctions a year at its Imperial location to supplement its monthly sale at its Manheim Lakeland auction site. This auction will be open to anyone involved in the construction industry and will contain late model construction equipment and heavy trucks.
The Imperial auction will be a combination of drive-through and ring sales. Buyers also can participate online, giving them full access to inventory 24 hours a day.
Jerry North, equipment division manager, recently joined Manheim to manage this division’s equipment and heavy truck auction and brings 30 years of experience with him. Emily Hough, equipment division administrator, has been with Manheim for 12 years. The general manager of the Imperial and Lakeland offices is Tony Markese.
The Manheim Lakeland auction is held on the second Wednesday of each month and is open to all corporations and businesses.
